Hungry Eye Agency presents Maarten Sündermann. Working under the name Sündermann, and through his company LCLS, he creates distinctive commissioned films alongside a highly focused fine art practice. SÜNDERMANN is a director, writer, and artist who approaches art through a cinematic lens reduced to a single frame. His images concentrate on moments of tension and stillness, holding the viewer in the instant just before action unfolds. Trained as a filmmaker, he brings narrative awareness and directorial precision to still imagery, treating each work as a carefully orchestrated site of balance and control. In series such as Equilibrium and Diver, bodies hover at the threshold of movement, their latent energy resolved through composition, framing, and restraint. While his broader practice spans film, fashion, and visual culture, his fine art output remains intentionally selective. Production is meticulous, releases are measured, and placement is considered with long-term relevance in mind. The works are produced as large-format C-type analogue chromogenic prints, chosen for their depth, tonal richness, and color fidelity.
